In his working life Harry was a senior executive in a plastics distribution company.  This involved setting budgets and making sure they were kept to by management.  He also had responsibility for growth of the company and was involved in the development of buildings and local knowledge to secure growth.

Harry has been involved in school governance for over 40 years.  In this time he has appointed lots of Head Teacher’s and Deputy Head Teacher’s.  He also works with a number of Local Authority’s on both parent appeal panels and on permanent exclusion panels.

Harry was also a member of the working party for Building Schools for the Future within the Stockton Borough.
