Tom Cunningham has been involved with School Governance since 2010 supporting St Michael's Bishop Middleham C of E Primary through the creation of its own nursery and transition from a private provider for children three and over, the provision of SCITT education, supporting local maths Hubs, the successful application and creation of one of the DfE English Hubs, the Outstanding OFSTED inspection, the creation of a Federation.

Tom’s main focus and key skills at a governance level are overall business management, financial management and change management at the leadership and strategy layer.

Tom has worked in IT for 20 years and operates at the leadership level, either delivering IT enabled projects for the organisations or running business critical services.  In doing so has had budget accountability for over £50M and has led teams of 130+.  Tom has a strong understanding of how organisations run across all areas and has reinforced this with his MBA studies.

Tom is married, has two boys, spends his time tinkering with and riding motorbikes, his allotment and making home produce from there.
