David has a long and vast experience as a governor and has been heavily involved in the establishing and running of several multi academy trusts. He has also supported lots of Headteachers, schools and Trusts as a National Lead Governor. David is currently Chair of Governors at St Francis CE (Aided) Junior School, Newton Aycliffe where he has been a governor for just over 40 years. He is also a Member of Tudhoe Learning Trust. Finally, he is a Member, Director and Chair of One Excellence Multi Academy Trust. For most of his working life he was an Executive Officer in the Department for Work and Pensions.
